noun
1. Meteorology, etc. a line drawn on a weather map, etc., connecting all points having the same barometric pressure (reduced to sea level), measured in hectopascals, at a specified time or over a certain period.
2. Also, isobare /ˈaɪsəbɛə/ (say 'uysuhbair). Physics, Chemistry one of two or more atoms of different atomic number, but having the same atomic mass number.
